How can we help?

You set your house rules and arrival instructions; the cancellation and refund rules are the same on every lodge so guests always know what to expect.

How do cancellations and refunds work for stays?

Guests pay in full when they book. A guest who cancels more than 48 hours before check-in is refunded minus a card processing fee (currently 3 percent); inside 48 hours there's no refund. If you cancel, the guest is refunded in full and WaterLynk gives back its own fee.

These rules are the same for every lodge. You set your own house rules, check-in and check-out times, arrival instructions, each room's maximum occupancy and minimum nights, and the terms your guests sign. If you'd like to refund a guest who has already cancelled, contact us and we'll do it for you.

My room isn't ready or isn't usable for an arriving guest

Make it right the same day: offer a comparable room, or a full refund for the nights affected. If you can't, it's treated as a lodge cancellation for those nights and the guest is refunded in full. We also show guests nearby lodges so they can rebook.

If you don't honor a booking at all, the guest is refunded in full including the card fee, taken from your balance, and two verified no-shows means your profile is suspended until we've talked.

A guest hasn't arrived

A guest who hasn't arrived by the morning after their check-in date, and hasn't contacted you, is a no-show, and you may release the room. Later nights are still paid. If your arrival instructions say something different, such as a late arrival procedure, your instructions come first and your confirmation shows them to the guest.

A guest brought extra people

Each room's maximum is the room's maximum. Anyone beyond it can be refused, or added only by rebooking through WaterLynk, never in cash at the door. Don't ask guests for more money than their confirmation shows.

A guest broke the house rules

Pets, parties and smoking are decided by the house rules you've posted. If a guest breaches posted rules, endangers someone or damages the property, you may end the stay with no refund for the remaining nights. Clear, specific house rules make this much easier, so keep them current on your lodge page.

A guest damaged something. What do I do?

Take clear photos and notes right away. Contact us within 7 days with what happened, the dates and the photos. We'll pass your claim to the guest and help you follow up. WaterLynk doesn't take damage deposits, so claims depend on the guest's agreement to your house rules and our terms, which they signed when booking. For serious damage or a safety concern, contact local authorities first.

A guest reported a problem with their stay

Guests should report within 48 hours. We'll contact you and give you 3 days to respond. If the report is about what was promised (the room, the amenities, cleanliness or safety), we encourage a fair fix. If you don't respond, or the listing was clearly misleading, WaterLynk may refund the guest and recover it from your balance.

Can I delete my account or get a copy of my data?

Yes. Sign in, open your profile settings (the Contact & alerts tab), and use "Your data" to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, or to ask us to delete your account. A person on our team handles each request and replies by email, and may ask you to confirm it's you.

If you have upcoming bookings, they may need to be cancelled first. We may keep records we need for legal, tax and dispute reasons, such as bookings, payments and signed waivers. You can also write to support@mywaterlynk.com.

A guest left an unfair review. What can I do?

Use "Report this review" under the review on your public page, and tell us what's wrong (not a real customer, abusive, shares private information, or false claims). A person on our team looks at each report, and you can also write to support@mywaterlynk.com.

Reviews should reflect a genuine experience. We take down reviews that break the rules, such as fake or abusive ones, but a review isn't removed just because it's critical or because you disagree with it.
