Terms & Conditions

Last updated October 14, 2026

These Terms govern your use of the WaterLynk website and app (the “Platform”), operated by WaterLynk LLC. They include the rules for bookings, payments, cancellations and refunds, and the terms of our text messaging program.

Looking for the text messaging terms? Jump to SMS Messaging Program. For answers in plain language, see the Help Center.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

“WaterLynk,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean WaterLynk LLC, 3620 Butterfly Dr, Conway, Arkansas 72034. By creating an account, browsing listings, booking a trip or stay, listing on the Platform, or otherwise using it, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is part of them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

Some things are presented to you separately at the moment they apply, and are also part of these Terms: the liability waiver or lodging terms a guest signs before checkout, and the platform agreement a guide, outfitter, charter or lodge accepts when setting up. Each is recorded with the signer’s typed name, date and time, IP address, and the exact text shown. If one of them conflicts with these Terms for a particular booking or listing, the more specific document controls.

2. What WaterLynk is, and is not

WaterLynk is an online marketplace. It connects guests (“Anglers” or “Guests”) with independent guides, outfitters, charters and lodges (together, “Providers”) for guided fishing and boating trips (“Trips”), lodging stays (“Stays”), and packages that combine them, in the states shown on the Platform.

WaterLynk is not a fishing guide, outfitter, charter operator, lodge, property owner or travel agency, and it does not provide, supervise, inspect or control any trip or stay. Each trip or stay is planned and run entirely by the Provider that lists it. The contract for a trip or stay is between the Guest and the Provider; WaterLynk is not a party to it. WaterLynk provides discovery, scheduling, messaging and payment processing, and charges Providers a commission for it.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to create an account or book. Give us accurate, current information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your password confidential. Tell us right away if you think someone else has used it.

You can browse listings, profiles, availability and reviews without an account. You may be able to message a Provider or book without creating a full account; if so, we create a limited account tied to your email address so we can send your confirmation and links, and you can set a password later with “Forgot password.”

4. Listings, review, and documents

Before a guide, outfitter, charter or lodge is listed publicly, our team reviews the profile and the license and insurance documents the Provider uploads, and the Provider must have confirmed their email address and have current proof of insurance on file. This is a good-faith, manual check that the required items are complete and look genuine. It is not a license-verification service, an inspection, or an endorsement. We do not confirm documents with the issuing agency or insurer.

Each Provider is solely responsible for holding every license, permit, registration and insurance policy the law requires for what it offers, for the safety of its trips, vessels, vehicles and property, and for the truth and accuracy of everything it posts. Approval to list is not a promise by WaterLynk that a Provider is licensed, insured, competent or safe. Guests are encouraged to ask a Provider directly about licensing, insurance and experience before booking.

We may suspend or remove a Provider or a listing at any time, including for expired or unverifiable documents, safety complaints, repeated no-shows, or breaking these Terms.

5. Bookings and payments

Trips, stays and packages are booked and paid for through the Platform’s checkout, which is processed by Stripe. The full price is charged to the Guest’s card when the booking is made. Guests and Providers agree not to take or arrange payment for a booking outside the Platform, or to ask for more money for the trip or stay itself than the confirmation shows. Optional extras a Guest chooses to pay for directly, such as a tip, a meal or a gear rental, are separate.

Payments are made to the Provider’s own Stripe account. WaterLynk keeps a commission on each booking, a percentage of the price that is shown to Providers in their account before they publish pricing. If a Provider chooses to pass a booking fee on to Guests, it is shown as its own line before checkout. Payouts go directly from Stripe to the Provider’s bank account. WaterLynk does not hold Provider funds, is not a bank, and does not provide payment or lending services beyond facilitating the Stripe payout. Providers are responsible for their own taxes, including any lodging or occupancy taxes. Stripe handles the tax forms it is required to.

Only the people named on a booking may take part in the trip or stay, and a booking may not exceed the maximum party size or room occupancy shown on the listing. To add people, the Guest rebooks through the Platform.

6. Cancellations and refunds

These rules apply to every trip, stay and package on the Platform. Providers do not set their own cancellation policies, though a Provider may always choose to refund a Guest more than these rules require.

  • Guest cancels more than 48 hours before the start. The Guest is refunded the price paid minus a non-refundable card processing fee (currently 3 percent, shown at checkout and set by WaterLynk).
  • Guest cancels within 48 hours of the start. No refund.
  • The Provider cancels, or a trip is cancelled for weather or safety. The Guest is refunded in full, including the card processing fee, at any time. Weather and safety are the Provider’s decision to make, and a forecast alone is not a reason for a Guest to cancel for a refund.
  • The Provider does not show up. The Guest is refunded in full, including the card fee, and the refund may be taken from the Provider’s balance. A Provider that fails to show up twice may be suspended.
  • The Guest is late or does not show up. A Provider waits 30 minutes past the start time and tries to reach the Guest before treating the booking as a no-show with no refund. A Guest who arrives within that time gets the time that is left, and the trip still ends at the planned time. For a stay, a Guest who has not arrived or contacted the lodge by the morning after the check-in date may be treated as a no-show and the room released, unless the lodge’s arrival instructions say otherwise. Later nights are still charged.
  • The Provider refuses service for safety reasons. A guide has the final say on safety and may refuse or end a trip if anyone appears impaired, is unsafe, or ignores safety instructions. No refund is owed when that is because of the Guest’s conduct or condition. A lodge may end a stay without a refund for the remaining nights if a Guest breaks the posted house rules, endangers anyone or damages the property.

A Provider may also refund a Guest in full on its own, for example for a medical issue, an emergency or an agreed change of date. Date changes are up to the Provider. WaterLynk may adjust the time windows and the fee above from time to time. The rules in effect when a booking is made apply to that booking. If a Guest disputes a payment with their bank and the Provider loses, WaterLynk refunds its own commission on that booking.

7. Problems with a trip or stay

If something goes wrong, use “Report a problem” on the booking, or write to support@mywaterlynk.com, within 48 hours of the trip or stay (within 7 days for a no-show by the Provider), and please do that before disputing the charge with your bank. We will contact the Provider, who has 3 days to respond, and we encourage a fair fix such as a partial refund, a credit or a rebooked trip.

No fish caught, normal seasonal weather, and results that depend on conditions are not grounds for a refund, because Providers sell their time, access and expertise rather than a catch. If something the Provider promised in its listing (for example the boat, the length of the trip, what is included, or the cleanliness or safety of a stay) was clearly not delivered, or the listing was clearly misleading, WaterLynk may refund the Guest in whole or in part, even if the Provider objects, and recover that amount from the Provider’s payouts or balance. Providers agree to this when they list.

Lodges do not take a damage deposit through WaterLynk. A lodge that believes a Guest damaged its property should contact us within 7 days with photos and a description. We pass the claim to the Guest but do not decide it or collect it for the lodge.

8. Reviews and messages

After a completed trip or stay a Guest may leave a public review. Reviews must reflect the reviewer’s genuine experience. Fake, incentivized or retaliatory reviews are not allowed. Anyone can report a review they believe breaks these rules using “Report this review” under it, and we may remove reviews that do. We do not remove a review just because it is critical.

Messages sent through the Platform before a booking is complete are automatically screened to remove phone numbers, email addresses and similar contact details, to protect the booking and payment system. Once a trip or stay is booked and paid for, that screening no longer applies to the conversation. Trying to get around it to arrange a booking or payment outside the Platform breaks these Terms.

9. Assumption of risk and waivers

Fishing, boating, rafting and time spent outdoors or at a remote lodge carry real risks, including drowning, capsizing, collision, exposure, injury from equipment, animals or buildings, and death. These risks exist even when everyone is careful.

Before checkout, a Guest reads and signs the waiver for the trip, or the lodging terms for the stay, which explain these risks and the Guest’s release of claims, and which are recorded as described in section 1. Booking means the Guest accepts those risks.

10. Independent businesses

Providers are independent businesses. Nothing about the Platform’s booking, payment, messaging or review features creates an employment, partnership, joint venture, franchise or agency relationship between WaterLynk and a Provider, or between WaterLynk and anyone who works for a Provider. Providers are solely responsible for their equipment, staff, property, business practices, and compliance with the law.

11. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

  • Break any law, including wildlife, fishing, boating, licensing and lodging laws that apply to a trip or stay.
  • Arrange, take or ask for payment outside the Platform to avoid WaterLynk’s commission, or demand more than the agreed price.
  • Submit false or misleading information or documents, including license and insurance documents.
  • Harass, threaten or discriminate against another user, or take part in a trip or stay while impaired in a way that puts others at risk.
  • Post fake reviews or otherwise manipulate the review system.
  • Scrape, probe, reverse engineer or interfere with the Platform’s operation or security, or try to access accounts that are not yours.
  • Use the Platform for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose.

12. Content and intellectual property

The Platform, including its design, text, graphics and software, is owned by WaterLynk or its licensors and protected by law. You may not copy, modify, distribute or make derivative works from it, except as needed to use it as intended.

When you post content on the Platform (a review, a message, a profile, photos), you give WaterLynk a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display and distribute it in connection with operating and promoting the Platform. You confirm you have the right to give that license.

13. SMS Messaging Program

WaterLynk sends SMS text messages related to trip bookings, confirmations, reminders, and communications between anglers and guides to users who opt in during account signup or trip booking.

Message frequency varies based on your bookings and account activity. Message and data rates may apply.

To stop receiving messages, reply STOP at any time. To get help, reply HELP or contact support@mywaterlynk.com.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information.

14. Disclaimers

The Platform and everything booked through it are provided “as is” and “as available.” WaterLynk disclaims all warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. WaterLynk does not warrant that any Provider is licensed, insured or qualified, or that any trip or stay will be safe, uninterrupted, error-free or meet your expectations.

15. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, WaterLynk is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any injury, death, illness or property damage arising from or related to a trip or stay, which is provided solely by the Provider and not by WaterLynk. WaterLynk’s total liability to you for anything related to the Platform will not exceed the greater of the fees WaterLynk received from your bookings in the 12 months before the claim arose or one hundred dollars ($100).

Some places do not allow certain limits on liability, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as for gross negligence, recklessness or intentional misconduct.

16. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold WaterLynk harmless from claims, damages and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or, for Providers, the trips and stays you provide, except to the extent caused by WaterLynk’s own gross negligence or willful misconduct.

17. Closing your account

You can stop using the Platform and close your account at any time by writing to support@mywaterlynk.com. Bookings already made stay subject to the cancellation rules above. We may suspend or end your account at any time, with or without notice, including for breaking these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as payment obligations, disclaimers, liability limits and indemnification) continue after your account ends.

18. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arkansas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute about these Terms or the Platform will be brought only in the state or federal courts located in Arkansas, and you and WaterLynk consent to their jurisdiction. This does not change the governing law stated in a waiver or agreement for the trip or stay it covers. Before filing a claim, please contact us at support@mywaterlynk.com so we can try to resolve it.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top and, where appropriate, tell you by email or in the app. Using the Platform after changes take effect means you accept them. Changes do not apply to a booking you already made.

20. General

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, the waivers and lodging terms Guests sign, and the agreements Providers accept, are the entire agreement between you and WaterLynk about the Platform. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent. If we do not enforce a part of these Terms, we are not giving it up.
